LAYING A FOUNDATION FOR HEALING, ONE PHASE AT A TIME.
Our Approach
At The Raya House, our mission is to create a nurturing environment where children in foster care can heal, grow, and thrive. We believe transformation takes time — and intention. That’s why our approach unfolds in four thoughtful phases, each designed to build lasting support for both children and their families.
PHASE ONE
A Safe Haven
Our journey begins by securing land and building a warm, welcoming home in northwest Georgia — a safe haven where foster children can begin to heal. This first phase focuses on meeting their most immediate needs: shelter, safety, nutrition, and compassionate care.
We have currently raised over $100,000 through our Founding Friends Campaign and Night of Hope fundraiser event. Our current goal is $200,000 to purchase land and begin building or renovating a home.
Together, we’ll build more than a house — we’ll build a refuge.
PHASE TWO
Healing Through Programs
Once our doors are open, we’ll launch therapeutic services like counseling, tutoring, a healing garden and farm, and enrichment activities that nurture each child’s emotional and developmental growth.
PHASE THREE
Family Reconnection
To support reunification, we’ll offer job opportunities for biological parents, create a community produce stand, and provide service programs that encourage responsibility and connection.
PHASE FOUR
Education for Empowerment
We’ll build a homeschool program tailored to foster children, along with parenting classes and foster parent training to equip caregivers with the tools they need for long-term success.
